Five Tips For Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival
Epcot is one our favorite of the Disney parks, so we were excited to partner with The Orlando Bloggers on a recent meetup to talk all things Epcot International Food and Wine Festival! Here are our top five tips to enjoying a successful trip festival trip.
1. Read the booklet. We always page through the booklet which lists all of the food and drink options throughout the Food and Wine Festival. This is a great way to preview the offerings plus you won’t be as overwhelmed by everything if you already have a few dishes in mind to try.
2. Take a lap. If it’s your first time at the Food and Wine Festival, we encourage you to walk around and take a look at all of the booths. The last thing you want is to be completely full halfway through World Showcase. Armed with your handy booklet, taking a walk around lets you possibly see some of the food in real life – that’s how I thought to order a dish in Italy that didn’t really jump out to me on the page. I saw another guest walk by and it looked awesome, so I asked about it.
3. Buy a gift card. Not only is this a great budgeting tool, but it’s also convenient. Instead of pulling out your wallet and having a bunch of little charges, you can keep your gift card on your wrist.
4. Flights are your friend. You can blow through a lot of money at the Food & Wine Festival, especially when it comes to drinks. That’s why we like flights because you get to try three items instead of one and, honestly, it feels like you’re getting more than if you just got one beer or wine sample.
5. Try festival-specific activities. Take advantage of Remy’s Scavenger Hunt. All of Epcot’s festivals have some sort of scavenger hunt component and we love doing them. They’re a relatively inexpensive way to have fun and you get a little prize at the end.
