Enjoying A House of Blues Orlando Brunch
We’ve previously talked about how much we love House of Blues Orlando as a concert venue, but did you know it also has an accompanying restaurant too? It’s true! And aside from being somewhere to visit for a good lunch or dinner, it’s also one of the select places at Disney Springs that offers a delicious weekend brunch. If you’re looking for a unique and delicious way to start your day, head over to the House of Blues Orlando for brunch.
House of Blues Orlando Brunch Menu
The House of Blues Orlando weekend brunch menu is available Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the full restaurant menu available after noon. It features typical brunch items like avocado toast, breakfast burritos, and steak and eggs along with fun options like chicken and donuts and shrimp and grits. Along with the entrees, there are several items available a la carte including eggs, bacon, sausage, and fruit.
What’s brunch without a fun adult cocktail, right? The House of Blues brunch offers bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for $15, which honestly is a really good price for a bottomless option in general, especially at Disney Springs. If a bottomless option is too much for you, you can also order a single drink for about $7.
Our Meal
When it came to picking our meals, it was a hard decision because there were so many great options on the menu. Jess opted for the Pig Shrimp and Grits, while Tyler opted for the Chicken Biscuits and Gravy.
The Pig Shrimp and Grits is a unique take on the traditional shrimp and grits meal by adding chimichurri, tomatoes, and wrapping the shrimp in bacon (that’s where the pig comes from). The tomatoes added a fun brightness to the meal and everything is better wrapped in bacon.
The Chicken Biscuits and Gravy was the real star of the show. Two massive pieces of fried, boneless chicken smothered in a delicious gravy. There wasn’t anything added to the meal like in the shrimp and grits, there was just an excellently made meal. The pieces of chicken were huge and the fact that they were boneless allowed us to eat the meal without having to worry about working around bones. Try adding some hot sauce for an extra kick of deliciousness.
For cocktails, Jess got the Bloody Mary. She likes a spicy Bloody Mary and this one hit the spot. It’s adorned with your typical garnishes of a lime wedge, celery stalk, and olive. Tyler opted for the Beast of Bourbon, which is Knob Creek bourbon, maple syrup, chocolate bitters, and orange. It was a really nice mix of flavors any bourbon fan will enjoy.
Our Verdict
There are countless brunch options available on Disney property and we were so pleasantly surprised by our experience at the House of Blues Orlando brunch. It’s not a restaurant that is talked about as much as some of the big hitters at Disney Springs like Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, Wine Bar George, or The Boathouse, but it provided an excellent meal at a decent price.
Whether you’re using your brunch to start your day at Disney Springs, or just looking to kick your weekend off right, a House of Blues Orlando brunch is a great choice for all.
