One of the trendiest ways to eat nowadays is a food truck, but the problem with food trucks is you never know where your favorite truck is going to be on a given day. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a place to get food truck-style food that always stays in the same location? This is exactly the reasoning behind Boxi Park in Lake Nona.

Giving you the awesome combination of great food, outdoor dining, and entertainment options, Boxi Park is one of our favorite hidden gems of Orlando. 

What is Boxi Park in Orlando?

The best way to describe Boxi Park is by calling it an outdoor eating venue, but that doesn’t encompass its charm. The reality is Boxi Park is a fun way to experience the Florida weather with friends and family in a unique, local setting.

The first thing to mention is the name. Boxi Park’s name comes from the old shipping containers that make up its decor. The funky, modern look immediately tells you this isn’t just an average eatery.

The second thing to mention is the food itself. Each dish is served from a food truck. Not only are you able to get that great food truck taste, but there is a ton of variety for every palate. Whether you like burgers, tacos, lobster or are just in the mood for some ice cream, Boxi Park has you covered. Not hungry? There are plenty of opportunities to grab a beer or a cocktail as well.

Our favorite thing about Boxi Park is the atmosphere. Being totally outdoors, this is a great place to have dinner, or just meet some friends for drinks and enjoy the Florida weather. We also encourage you to bring the whole family. Parents and older kids can relax and have some food and drinks, younger kids can play in the attached playground and volleyball courts and you can even bring your dog for some exercise and socialization.

Need even more of an excuse to hang out? Pair your trip with a visit to Lake Nona’s farmer’s market. The farmer’s market is actually held on the ground level of the same (free!) parking garage you park at for Boxi Park. 

The Verdict

We can’t say enough good things about Boxi Park. We love how versatile this place is. You can grab lunch after hitting up the farmer’s market, go on a date, or go to grab some drinks with friends.

The food has been top-notch and there are enough options to keep you coming back for more. The only downside for us is the location.
